About the Role

Botanic Tonics is hiring a Market Development Manager - South to drive our next phase of national expansion. You'll be responsible for identifying and developing high-potential new markets, working closely with Sales Leadership to seed and grow new accounts, with a strong focus on the convenience store channel.

What You'll Do

  • Partner with the Director of Sales to identify key regions with high concentrations of new account opportunities.
  • Secure new retail partnerships, focusing on independent and small-chain convenience stores.
  • Open accounts with excellence in merchandising.
  • Serve as the frontline brand ambassador in new markets, owning the first impression and initial sales cycle.
  • Work cross-functionally to ensure a smooth handoff of newly opened accounts to the local DSD partner for ongoing support.
  • Track and report on sales performance, market feedback, and competitive insights from the field.
  • Support marketing activations and sampling events within your market or region.

What We're Looking For

  • A passionate, self-driven sales professional with a proven track record in field sales.
  • 5+ years of CPG sales experience.
  • Exceptional at building relationships quickly with store owners, distributor reps, or regional partners.
  • Comfort working independently and traveling frequently (90–100% of the time).
  • An entrepreneurial mindset, energized by creating something from nothing.
  • Strong communicator, highly organized, and goal-oriented.

Nice to Have

  • Experience within the convenience retail space.
  • Knowledge of DSD systems and convenience retail dynamics.

Team & Environment

You will work closely with the Director of Sales and other Sales Leadership, reporting directly to the Director of Sales.

Work Mode

This is a field-based role requiring frequent travel within the Texas/Oklahoma region.
