About the Role
The Marine Specialist will oversee marine operations in Jeddah, ensuring compliance with safety standards and maritime regulations while supporting efficient vessel movements and port activities.
Responsibilities
- Monitor and coordinate vessel arrivals and departures in Jeddah port
- Ensure compliance with local and international maritime regulations
- Conduct regular safety inspections on marine equipment and operations
- Liaise with port authorities and shipping agents for smooth operations
- Maintain accurate logs and reports for marine activities
- Support emergency response procedures for maritime incidents
- Supervise marine crew during operations as required
- Implement environmental protection measures in marine operations
- Coordinate with technical teams for vessel maintenance schedules
- Assist in developing standard operating procedures for marine tasks
- Track vessel performance and report on operational efficiency
- Ensure all marine personnel follow safety protocols
- Participate in safety drills and training sessions
- Review navigation plans for accuracy and safety
- Manage communication between shore teams and vessel crews
- Oversee cargo handling operations to ensure safety and timeliness
- Report operational issues to management promptly
