HF Sinclair Corporation is hiring a Manager, Technical Services to be accountable for process health, optimization, and management at our refinery in Artesia, NM. This leadership role ensures process Front End Engineering Design (FEED) into projects and drives overall refinery performance.
What You'll Do
- Drive improvements in refinery performance, yield, and efficiency while ensuring strict adherence to environmental and safety standards.
- Lead efforts to resolve complex operational problems, minimize downtime, and optimize unit operations.
- Manage the Process Engineering, Laboratory, and Process Safety organizations, including staffing, training, mentoring, and developing personnel.
- Develop and communicate department goals and serve as a technical liaison between technical services, management, and other departments.
- Properly resource the organization to meet goals and build future unit engineers.
- Provide guidance and oversight to technical teams and support other departments in achieving refinery goals.
- Provide input on refinery future planning and identify emerging issues.
- Prepare and submit annual budgets for your area of responsibility.
- Provide process technical support and lead process troubleshooting.
- Serve as gatekeeper for project and turnaround development and execution.
- Participate within the incident command structure as requested.
- Utilize data to track KPIs, drive continuous improvement, and issue timely monthly reports.
- Assure all policies, procedures, and requirements are followed and follow through on commitments.
What We're Looking For
- 10+ years of relevant experience, which includes supervisory experience.
- A required Bachelor’s Degree in chemical or petroleum engineering.
Nice to Have
- Refining experience with five years in a supervisory role.
