Role Overview
This position leads the strategy, support, and execution of critical supply chain systems, including Warehouse Management (WMS), Transportation Management (TMS), and Labor Management Systems (LMS). As the primary technical authority, you will ensure system reliability, lead implementations, and guide continuous improvement initiatives across a wide distribution network.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as the principal technical and functional resource for WMS, TMS, and LMS platforms
- Maintain system integrity through configuration, code deployment, and change control processes
- Monitor performance, conduct maintenance, and manage backup protocols
- Lead project teams during system rollouts and oversee User Acceptance Testing
- Collaborate with operations staff to refine workflows and improve efficiency
- Partner with IT to troubleshoot upstream and downstream integration issues
- Communicate system status and operational updates to stakeholders
- Perform root cause analysis and manage technical issue resolution pipelines
- Design analytical tools to assess system and operational performance
- Evaluate process and equipment feasibility and recommend improvements
- Assess cost-benefit impacts and propose data-driven solutions
- Research and recommend emerging technologies to enhance system capabilities
- Identify opportunities to improve service, reduce costs, and streamline operations
- Develop standardized and on-demand reporting for management and customers
- Serve as the go-to expert for WMS logic and functionality at distribution sites
- Train operations teams on system usage and best practices
- Ensure adherence to Standard Operating Procedures and compliance standards
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, Supply Chain, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent experience
- Minimum of 6 years of hands-on experience with Tier-1 WMS platforms (High Jump experience preferred)
- 2–4 years working with ERP technical functions, particularly Microsoft Dynamics
- Strong technical, analytical, and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
- Proven organizational, time management, and project leadership capabilities
- Experience managing the full application development lifecycle
- Deep understanding of database architecture and proficiency in SQL
- Familiarity with reporting tools and web development languages
- Skilled in business systems analysis, process optimization, and change management
- Expertise in supply chain operations, procurement, and transportation systems
- Proficiency in ERP platforms such as SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, or Peoplesoft
- Advanced Excel skills and strong data analysis capabilities
- Ability to manage complex projects independently and adapt to shifting priorities
- Strong judgment, decision-making, and leadership skills
- Experience mentoring teams and fostering collaborative environments
- Professional demeanor with the ability to present to diverse audiences
