We are hiring a Manager, Software Engineering, Systems Infrastructure to lead a team building our next-generation infrastructure and platforms. This role drives the technical direction for application delivery, compute, data storage, search, AI, experimentation, and privacy/compliance platforms within a world-class engineering organization.
What You'll Do
- Lead, coach and manage a core team of engineers building foundational infrastructure.
- Participate with senior management in developing a long-term technology roadmap.
- Dive deep into technical discussions to challenge assumptions and guide the team.
- Communicate and collaborate effectively with stakeholders across engineering and business leadership.
- Help the team realize their potential by setting clear expectations, evaluating performance, and providing growth challenges.
- Drive a culture of operational excellence by defining performance goals, metrics, and building tooling to maintain quality.
- Create an inclusive work environment that fosters autonomy, transparency, innovation and learning.
What We're Looking For
- BA/BS Degree in Computer Science or related technical discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
- 3+ years of experience in software engineering/technical management and people management.
- 7+ years of industry experience in software design, development, and large-scale software engineering.
- Experience programming in object-oriented and/or functional programming languages like Java, C++, Scala.
- Hands-on experience developing distributed systems, databases, large scale data systems and/or Backend APIs.
Nice to Have
- MS or PhD in Computer Science or related technical discipline.
- 4+ years of software engineering management experience.
- 2+ years experience managing managers.

- Apache Kafka, Pinot, Azkaban, Samza, Venice, Datahub, Feather, Kubernetes, GRPC, GraphQL

- Compensation range: $198,000 to $326,000.
