Eventogy is hiring a DevOps Engineer

Responsibilities

  • Design and oversee scalable AWS infrastructure that supports multiple live platforms.
  • Improve and sustain automated CI/CD pipelines to enable fast, secure, and dependable software releases.
  • Enforce robust security protocols, identity management, and compliance measures in line with ISO 27001 requirements.
  • Establish comprehensive monitoring, alerting, and system observability to ensure system reliability and proactive issue resolution.
  • Support disaster recovery planning and business continuity, including data backups and multi-region failover strategies.
  • Optimise cloud spending and improve performance efficiency across AWS resources.
  • Work closely with development teams to refine build, test, and deployment processes.
  • Maintain clear documentation of systems, policies, and operational procedures to ensure long-term maintainability.

Requirements

  • Minimum of three years in DevOps, cloud, or infrastructure engineering roles.
  • Demonstrated proficiency with AWS services such as EC2, RDS, S3, IAM, networking, and monitoring.
  • Hands-on experience developing and managing CI/CD pipelines using tools like GitHub Actions, CodePipeline, or Jenkins.
  • Strong knowledge of Linux environments, network fundamentals, and security best practices.
  • Experience working with Docker and containerised application deployments.
  • Skilled in systematic problem-solving and diagnosing technical issues.
  • Effective verbal and written communication, with a collaborative mindset when working alongside developers.

Nice to Have

  • Background supporting PHP frameworks such as CodeIgniter or Laravel, or JavaScript-based SaaS platforms.
  • Experience using Infrastructure as Code tools like Terraform or CloudFormation.
  • Exposure to ISO 27001 compliance or regulated industry environments.
  • Understanding of AWS cost optimisation and scaling techniques.
