UnitedHealth Group / Optum is seeking a Manager Software Engineering to provide product and software engineering leadership. In this role, you will lead scrum teams and own the end-to-end implementation of solutions, while establishing technical standards and architecture roadmaps for our enterprise-grade applications.

What You'll Do

Provide product and software engineering leadership by leading one or more scrum teams and owning end-to-end implementation within schedule, budget, and quality targets.
Establish and control code quality standards, development best practices, and defect-free code delivery by providing technical oversight for Full Stack development.
Develop long-term architecture roadmaps for existing products.
Handle project prioritization, effective delegation, and manage and support a cross-functional software engineering team.
Provide technology leadership, mentorship, and guidance to the team.
Communicate and collaborate with key stakeholders including Engineering and Product leadership.
Participate in Design reviews, Solutioning, Test Case reviews, and Production Support readiness reviews for new releases.
Support QA, UAT, and Release phases via defect analysis and change maintenance.
Work closely with Business Teams, Onshore partners, deployment, and infrastructure teams.

What We're Looking For

8+ years total product engineering experience with solid foundations in engineering architecture and design thinking.
3+ years of experience managing teams.
Good understanding of Development processes and tools.
Technical expertise in handling software application development using modern technologies.
Proven leadership and interpersonal skills with the ability to create and maintain solid relationships with cross-departmental teams.
Proven problem-solving skills and a growth mindset.
A proven track record of building and leading effective teams.
