Warner Bros. Discovery is hiring a Manager, Remote Engineering and Operations to join our team. This role provides direct support to the Senior Director, assisting in the daily coordination and strategic planning for all Sports’ remote and MFP-based productions. You will support technical deployments, innovations, and initiatives across our sports properties.
What You'll Do
- Provide day-to-day support of season-long packages and troubleshoot connection issues.
- Provide networking solutions, handle comms integration, and provide video support.
- Attend all season show meetings to offer solutions for past issues and solve workflows for upcoming events.
- Meet with the team to review show scope and address issues from TM reports.
- Consult with vendors on upcoming projects and ensure the correct equipment is ordered for desired workflows.
- Schedule loaners and connect engineering with support on equipment when needed.
- Attend all production meetings for tent pole events to determine scope and scale.
- Build and document workflows to provide crew and production guidelines for tent pole events.
- Determine time frame for completion of tent pole events and select correct personnel for each specific event.
What We're Looking For
- 5+ years of broadcast engineering experience, including some remote engineering experience.
- A BA or BS from a 4-year institution.
Nice to Have
- Proficiency in Autocad and/or Microsoft Visio.
- COMP TIA Network+ or similar network certification.
- A certified engineering degree in Electrical or Mechanical engineering. Computer and networking certifications are a plus.
