About the Role

This role is responsible for managing a centralized resource group of project managers, providing leadership, professional development, and performance oversight. The position ensures standardized methodologies, supports project execution, and aligns project management practices with organizational goals.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the performance and development of project management staff assigned to a centralized resource pool
  • Establish standardized project management methodologies, tools, and best practices
  • Collaborate with project and functional leaders to allocate project management resources effectively
  • Provide coaching, mentoring, and career development guidance to project managers
  • Monitor project health metrics and support corrective actions when needed
  • Lead performance evaluations and talent reviews for project management personnel
  • Develop training programs to enhance project management capabilities
  • Ensure compliance with project governance and reporting standards
  • Promote continuous improvement in project delivery processes
  • Serve as a strategic advisor on project management capability and capacity
  • Facilitate cross-project communication and knowledge sharing
  • Support organizational change initiatives related to project execution
  • Maintain project management office standards and documentation
  • Partner with HR on staffing, succession planning, and workforce planning
  • Drive accountability and professional conduct within the project management team
  • Evaluate project management tools and recommend technology improvements
  • Align project management practices with industry standards and regulatory expectations
  • Represent project management leadership in organizational forums
  • Manage resource workload balancing across multiple projects
  • Foster a culture of collaboration, transparency, and high performance
  • Support project risk and issue resolution through effective oversight
  • Ensure consistency in project status reporting and performance tracking
  • Lead onboarding and integration of new project managers
  • Develop dashboards and metrics for project management effectiveness
  • Advocate for project management discipline across the organization
