KIPP NYC Public Schools is hiring a Manager of Undergraduate Career Services, KIPP Forward

Requirements

  • Develop, implement and drive overall Y3-6 recruitment strategies to increase alumni engagement with the career services programs offered by the KIPP Forward Postsecondary Success Collaborative
  • Develop a deep understanding of the wide range of career programs available to our college-enrolled alumni, including program offerings, target audience/candidate, program length, and application process
  • Monitor recruitment and program participation campaigns to support goals, while analyzing trends, adjusting outreach strategy and timelines as needed, and ensuring alignment with program objectives and team executional capacity
  • Create and facilitate skill-based trainings for our staff to support their understanding of our career programming and enhance their career advisement capabilities and other related duties
  • Outreach to college-enrolled alumni and recent college graduates to connect them to relevant career readiness, exposure and experience opportunities, and to capture and document post-graduate career plans, utilizing a wide-range of communication strategies/channels to drive results (e.g. texts, phone calls, social media, email, in-person/online meetings, group sessions)
  • Collaborate with the KIPP Forward Operations team to develop materials that support the promotion of career programs to our alumni
  • Attend meetings and professional development sessions to continuously build the necessary skills to encourage alumni engagement in career programming and provide them with appropriate career advisement
  • Lead communication strategy for Y3–6 career services programming in collaboration with the Nudge Enabled Remote Advising (NERA) Program Manager
  • Create and disseminate program recruitment and engagement communications across Y3-6 programs; integrate alumni testimonials and partner marketing materials into outreach and recruitment messaging
  • Maintain a living communications calendar with deadlines, review and approval windows, and distribution dates; manage approval process for all Y3-6 career communications
  • Manage the Career Newsletter, including the content, tone, and alignment with team priorities, and serve as the point of contact for required cross-team collaboration
  • Manage LinkedIn engagement and opportunity posting processes, including Group membership approvals, and job and internship posting workflows to ensure alumni access to high-quality, relevant career opportunities
  • Lead or co-lead partner management for assigned career programs, as determined by Director
  • Conduct monthly to quarterly partner check-ins to align goals, recruitment plans, and messaging, ensuring maximization of partners’ capacity
  • Research, vet, and recommend new partnerships that support alumni to secure internships and strong jobs in their desired field or industry
  • Ensure the UCS Y3-6 communication plans are aligned with partners and internal teams
  • Gather feedback and insights on career programming from alumni to support the UCS team’s evaluation of partnerships and services rendered
  • Network with internal and external professionals to build relationships that can facilitate opportunities for our alumni within organizations/programs/companies committed to providing viable career pathways for Y3-6 students across our geographic regions
  • In partnership with the UCS Director, develop the appropriate metrics and goals to support increasing alumni engagement across all UCS program offerings
  • In collaboration with the KIPP Forward Data team and the UCS Director, help design and improve systems/tools that will support outreach efforts and progress monitoring towards career programming participation goals
  • Input and maintain records of program and other opportunities alumni apply to and their application result into our internal tracking system
  • Track and maintain key student data points in our centralized data systems, including detailed notes of every student communication, majors, prospective majors, careers and/or industries of interest, employment information, updated contact information, etc.
  • Attend mandatory New Staff Training held full-time from July 13 – August 7, 2026 (week 1 in NYC, week 2-4 virtual). Ongoing professional development will be required quarterly
  • Plan and participate in weekly team and one-on-one meetings with Director of UCS
  • Lead Y2 to Y3 transition strategy for UCS team in collaboration with the College Success Team.
  • Represent the UCS team in cross-functional meetings (e.g, with Ops, NERA, Data, etc.)
  • Regularly and openly communicate with Director of UCS to seek guidance and support to navigate your progress
  • Lead the annual Alumni Survey and feedback integration processes
  • Support the initiative to collect Alumni Early Career Outcomes
  • Curate alumni spotlights for social platforms and Collaborative partner communications
  • May present/train UCS Y3-6 programming to KIPP Forward team during monthly team meetings
