About the Role
The position is responsible for managing generics programs across major client accounts, aligning internal teams and external partners to optimize product availability, pricing strategies, and long-term supply agreements.
Responsibilities
- Lead the design and execution of generics-focused programs for top-tier accounts
- Collaborate with suppliers to secure favorable terms and ensure consistent supply
- Analyze market trends and pricing dynamics for generic pharmaceuticals
- Develop strategic plans to expand generics penetration within client portfolios
- Serve as primary point of contact for generics-related initiatives with key customers
- Coordinate cross-functional teams including procurement, operations, and sales
- Monitor program performance and report on key metrics and outcomes
- Identify opportunities to improve cost savings through generics utilization
- Negotiate agreements that support long-term supply stability
- Ensure compliance with contractual obligations and regulatory standards
- Facilitate onboarding of new generics products into client systems
- Support forecasting and demand planning activities
- Drive adoption of generics in alignment with customer goals
- Manage relationships with internal stakeholders to align priorities
- Provide market intelligence on competitor generics strategies
- Lead quarterly business reviews with strategic partners
- Develop presentations and reports for senior leadership
- Respond to customer inquiries related to generics availability
- Evaluate new generics sourcing opportunities
- Promote innovation in generics supply chain solutions
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of FDA approvals and product launches
- Work closely with clinical and formulary teams when applicable
- Support contracting and rebate negotiations for generics
- Ensure alignment between corporate generics strategy and account-specific goals
- Track regulatory changes affecting generic drug distribution
