Responsibilities
- Examine patterns in fraudulent activity to improve both automated systems and manual intervention protocols.
- Refine fraud prevention frameworks, including rules, thresholds, and decision logic, to counter both ongoing and targeted attacks.
- Create tailored risk mitigation approaches for new sales channels such as direct-to-consumer to support organizational expansion.
- Assess and deploy advanced detection technologies and external data sources to enhance risk identification and operational performance.
- Improve systems for tracking and reporting fraud risk at the merchant level, identifying behaviors linked to abuse or heightened exposure.
- Design and maintain dashboards that monitor fraud metrics across customer groups, industries, and distribution channels.
- Develop analytical models and surveillance methods to detect unusual activity and evolving fraud tactics within specific segments.
- Set up automated alerts and anomaly detection systems to enable rapid response to emerging threats.
- Collaborate with data and analytics teams to ensure consistency, accuracy, and scalability of fraud-related reporting.
- Inform product design and launch strategies by analyzing the balance between fraud risk, approval rates, profitability, and user experience.
- Conduct focused assessments of fraud vulnerability related to new merchant relationships, business verticals, and product offerings.
- Track fraud indicators during product introductions, trials, and scaling efforts to detect early warning signs.
- Deliver on-demand analytical support for strategic fraud prevention projects and adaptive risk controls.
- Work alongside product and engineering teams during development to integrate fraud safeguards into core workflows.
- Coordinate with risk operations to align manual review procedures with current policies and threat landscapes.
- Generate data-driven insights that guide decision-making across departments and initiatives.
- Support cross-functional alignment by establishing project timelines, sharing analysis, and maintaining communication with stakeholders.
