Responsibilities
- Leads and mentors a team of technical professionals engaged in engineering design activities.
- Directs planning, coordination, and execution of work related to nuclear steam supply system appurtenances and associated nuclear module components.
- Conducts and oversees peer reviews and technical audits to verify compliance with applicable standards and requirements.
- Manages the creation and review of engineering documentation defining design specifications and technical details, including design specifications, loading reports, drawings, interface documents, calculations, and vendor-related scopes.
- Provides expert guidance and support to other teams and departments on technical matters.
- Contributes to the development and revision of organizational technical standards and engineering practices.
- Develops cost estimates, project schedules, and forecasts for labor and materials.
- Applies disciplined engineering methodologies to resolve complex technical challenges and leads interdisciplinary initiatives within the area of responsibility.
- Handles administrative duties such as report review, timecard approval, policy enforcement, and procurement decisions.
- Authors technical statements of work for internal and external engineering efforts.
- Conducts performance evaluations, provides coaching, and manages annual review processes for team members.
- Creates training content in specialized technical domains.
- Builds team expertise aligned with individual career paths and project objectives.
- Coordinates with internal groups and external partners to ensure successful project outcomes.
- Fosters strong working relationships across the organization.
- Performs additional duties as needed.
Team
This position leads a group of engineers focused on the design of components governed by ASME Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code Section III, including appurtenances and other parts of the nuclear power module.
