Merkle, a dentsu company, is hiring a Manager, Media Planning to serve as a key marketing partner for clients. This junior/mid-level role reports to the Associate Media Director and is responsible for leading strategic, integrated media campaigns. While the role can be remote, you will be expected to work Eastern or Central Standard Time hours.
What You'll Do
- Act as a marketing partner for clients, owning client communication and specific media initiatives.
- Coordinate with multi-channel teams to design strategic, integrated media plans across awareness-based channels like TV, CTV, Video, Social, Programmatic, and Audio.
- Drive media channel selection and identify forward-thinking new opportunities.
- Coordinate with creative agencies on asset development and account needs.
- Manage a large media budget and flowchart.
- Help evaluate timelines and manage day-to-day deliverables.
- Analyze competitive landscapes using agency tools and compile insights.
What We're Looking For
- 2.5 - 4 years of total media planning experience.
- Relevant media planning and buying experience with a specific retail focus.
- Experience working on one large account, particularly in retail or CPG.
- Understanding of all media channels and experience coordinating across multiple disciplines (SEM, Social, TV, OLV, OOH, Radio).
- Experience with full-funnel media campaigns.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
Nice to Have
- Familiarity with tools such as Media Ocean, DDS, Nielsen Ad Intel, Pathmatics, Media Tools, Web Analytics, Ad Servers, and Media Research tools.
