About the Role

Lean Tech is hiring a Manager, Community Education and Field Marketing to represent BioMarin as a trusted partner within the hemophilia community. You will help patients navigate barriers to treatment and be responsible for US Hemophilia market expansion by creating and executing educational initiatives and marketing strategies for patients, caregivers, advocates, and HCPs.

What You'll Do

  • Conduct formal and informal presentations to convey complex branded information fluently to the hemophilia community.
  • Use digital platforms like social media, webinars, and newsletters to engage the community and share resources.
  • Support advocacy efforts for access to care and cross collaboration with Patient advocacy groups.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships within the community, including patients, caregivers, advocacy groups, and healthcare providers.
  • Represent BioMarin at, attend, and organize local, regional, and national events such as conferences, support groups, and awareness walks.
  • Work with HCP and Patient Speakers to facilitate knowledge sharing, promote educational platforms, and identify and train promotional speakers.
  • Be responsive to the urgent and timely needs of providers and patients.
  • Provide field insights into new strategies and tactics, representing the patient’s voice to the home office.
  • Manage speaker programs, including coordinating training, ensuring compliant content delivery, and reporting on performance.
  • Create and implement marketing strategies and tactical plans, including patient marketing initiatives, and manage vendor relationships and budgets.
  • Gather community insights to inform services, resources, and organizational strategies.
  • Review and analyze market and customer data to support and execute strategic planning.
  • Capture, track, qualify, and segment Community Leads, nurture relationships, and collaborate with field teams.
  • Achieve or exceed Management by Objective (MBO) goals.
  • Partner with internal teams such as medical and marketing, and external stakeholders, serving as a critical conduit between the field and the home office.

What We're Looking For

  • A Bachelor's Degree is required.
  • 5+ years of experience in community engagement, field sales, product marketing, patient advocacy, or medical/clinical roles within the pharmaceutical or biotech industry.
  • Experience engaging patients and caregivers with rare or chronic conditions.
  • A strong understanding of hemophilia, its treatments, and the needs of patients and healthcare providers.
  • Proven ability to build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders and communicate effectively.
  • Strategic thinking and planning skills for developing and executing marketing strategies to achieve brand goals.
  • Proven experience with Microsoft Office, facilitation skills, social media, and virtual event tools like Microsoft Teams.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects, timelines, and budgets effectively.
  • Solid understanding of relevant legal and regulatory guardrails within the pharmaceutical industry and ability to conduct all interactions in compliance.
  • Willingness and ability to work within and outside of traditional business hours, including evenings and weekends for patient events.
  • The ability to travel 75% of the time.
  • A valid driver's license.

Nice to Have

  • A Master's degree in business or science.
  • Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish.
