About the Role: The Manager, BSA/AML and Sanctions Governance & Program Enablement is responsible for maintaining and strengthening the foundational elements of Pathward’s BSA/AML and Sanctions program, including governance, policies and procedures, training enablement, and audit and regulatory exam preparedness. This role ensures program standards are current, consistently implemented, and supported by clear documentation, effective training, and coordinated issue management. The role serves as a central point of coordination across Operations, Compliance, Learning & Development, Risk, and Assurance to support a sustainable, examiner‑ready BSA/AML and Sanctions program. Scope of Responsibility This role: - Owns the lifecycle management of BSA/AML operational policies, procedures, and standards - Coordinates BSA/AML training content, deployment, and documentation - Manages audit, validation, and regulatory exam coordination and response tracking - Provides governance oversight but does not directly manage alert or investigation production queues What You Will Do: BSA/AML Governance & Documentation - Own and manage the policy and procedure lifecycle for BSA/AML Operations, including: - Drafting, updates, validations, approvals, and document control - Ensure procedures reflect current operating practices, regulatory guidance, and risk posture. - Partner with Operations and Program Management to translate regulatory or audit feedback into clear, practical standards. - Maintain version control, review cadence, and evidence of adoption. Training & Enablement - Partner with Learning & Development (L&D) to support: - Development and maintenance of BSA/AML training content - Assignment of training to appropriate audiences (new hire, annual, role‑specific) - Knowledge checks, attestations, and completion tracking - Ensure training aligns to updated procedures, program standards, and regulatory expectations. - Support documentation and evidence required for examiner and audit review of training effectiveness. Audit, Validation & Exam Management - Serve as a central coordination point for: - Internal audit and independent testing requests - Regulatory exams and supervisory reviews - Validation and assurance activities related to BSA/AML Operations - Track requests, due dates, owners, and responses to ensure timely and complete delivery. - Review materials for consistency, accuracy, and defensibility prior to submission. - Support management responses, issue tracking, and remediation documentation. Issue Management & Continuous Improvement - Coordinate responses to audit findings, exam issues, and validation observations. - Track remediation actions and support documentation of completion. - Identify themes and recurring issues to inform program improvements. - Support governance forums and management reporting where applicable. Cross‑Functional Collaboration - Partner closely with: - BSA/AML Operations and Investigations - Program Management and Data Analytics - Risk Management, Compliance, and Assurance - Support change initiatives that impact procedures, training, or governance artifacts. What You Will Need: - Bachelor’s degree required; CAMS or similar certification preferred. - 5+ years of experience in BSA/AML, compliance operations, risk governance, or regulatory management. - Strong experience with policy/procedure development and exam or audit management. - Demonstrated ability to write and maintain clear, regulator‑ready documentation. - Strong organizational, project management, and stakeholder coordination skills. - Ability to translate regulatory requirements into operationally practical standards. Measures of Success - Up‑to‑date, validated policies and procedures aligned to operations - Timely, well‑organized audit and exam responses with minimal rework - Training that is current, role‑appropriate, and properly documented - Reduced repeat findings and improved examiner feedback on governance The responsibilities listed above are not all inclusive and may be changed at any time. Salary range: $72,000 – $120,000 The salary range reflects the minimum and maximum target for a new hire in this role. Individual pay within the range will be determined by multiple factors which can include but are not limited to a candidate’s experience, qualifications, skills, and location. This role is also eligible for an annual performance-based incentive opportunity.
