Community Mental Health Affiliates (CMHA) is hiring a Management Information System Intern

About the Role

Community Mental Health Affiliates (CMHA) is looking for a Management Information System Intern to contribute to time-limited projects related to our Electronic Health Record (EHR) system and Management Information Services. In this role, you will support critical data entry and collection for agency reporting and partner directly with the MIS team to examine information.

What You'll Do

  • Perform data entry for special MIS projects.
  • Collect data for federal grant reporting and build related reports.
  • Assist with various MIS tasks to support the agency's needs.
  • Support the Performance Improvement coordinator with data collection and reporting.
  • Aid the Records Department with indexing files and processing record requests.

What We're Looking For

  • Current enrollment in an accredited college or university pursuing a Bachelor's, Master's degree, or specialty certificate program.
  • A High School Diploma or GED.
  • Hands-on experience with Microsoft Office products, including Word, Access, and Excel.
  • Ability to tolerate prolonged periods of focused data entry.
  • Strong judgment and meticulous attention to detail to ensure data accuracy.
  • A valid Connecticut Driver’s License.

Nice to Have

  • A current academic concentration in Management Information Systems or Health Care Administration.

Technical Stack

  • Microsoft Office Suite: Word, Access, Excel.

You will work in a direct partnership with the CMHA MIS team, collaborating on analysis and project tasks.
