Responsibilities
- Lead and oversee multiple audit projects from initiation to final reporting and post-audit follow-up activities.
- Create detailed audit work plans, evaluate risks, and design appropriate testing approaches.
- Ensure all audit activities comply with federal regulations, program-specific guidelines, and Government Auditing Standards (GAGAS).
- Supervise audit team members, provide mentorship, and conduct performance evaluations.
- Examine audit documentation, findings, and reports to verify accuracy, quality, and adherence to professional standards.
- Present audit outcomes and strategic recommendations to executive leadership and external parties.
- Identify emerging risks within operations and suggest improvements to controls and processes.
- Contribute to the ongoing development and refinement of audit procedures and internal quality assurance mechanisms.
