About the Role
This role is responsible for performing preventive and corrective maintenance on sterile processing equipment and utilities in a pharmaceutical or similar controlled manufacturing setting. The technician ensures systems operate efficiently and meet regulatory requirements.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine inspections and maintenance on sterile facility systems
- Troubleshoot mechanical and utility failures in cleanroom environments
- Repair and calibrate process equipment used in sterile manufacturing
- Follow standard operating procedures for equipment servicing
- Document maintenance activities and repair logs accurately
- Respond to urgent equipment breakdowns during production
- Ensure compliance with safety and quality regulations
- Collaborate with engineering and production teams
- Maintain spare parts inventory for critical systems
- Support validation activities for repaired or modified equipment
- Install new equipment according to technical specifications
- Monitor system performance and recommend improvements
- Adhere to gowning and contamination control protocols
- Operate hand and power tools safely
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives
- Maintain accurate records for audit readiness
- Assist with utility system maintenance including steam and water systems
- Perform lockout/tagout procedures during servicing
- Conduct equipment testing after maintenance
- Work under minimal supervision with attention to detail
