What You'll Do
- Carry out installation, repair, and routine maintenance of mechanical and electrical systems across production and office areas
- Support facility operations by assembling, relocating, and servicing material-handling equipment
- Complete site preparation tasks such as drain cleaning, concrete repairs, and basic construction work
- Perform scheduled lubrication, cleaning, and wiring tasks under supervision
- Use the SAP system to track and complete preventive maintenance checks and work orders
- Inspect and maintain critical systems including pumps, motors, boilers, HVAC, refrigeration units, and packaging machinery
- Keep accurate records of maintenance activities, parts usage, and equipment status
- Follow strict safety, hygiene, and quality protocols aligned with ISO 9001, FSSC 22000, GMPs, and HACCP standards
Requirements
- Training or experience in mechanical, electrical, or a related technical trade
- Demonstrated ability to diagnose and repair industrial equipment
- Proficiency with common maintenance tools such as benders, cutters, spanners, and hand tools
- Ability to read and follow written procedures and work instructions accurately
- Strong problem-solving skills to identify and resolve equipment issues efficiently
- Basic math skills, including working with decimals, percentages, and both English and metric units
- Commitment to safety, cleanliness, and compliance in a manufacturing setting
- Physical ability to lift up to 55 pounds, climb ladders, navigate plant areas, and wear required PPE and respiratory gear
Preferred Qualifications
- Formal technical certification or completion of a state-recognized apprenticeship in mechanical or electrical trades
- Experience in food production, chemical processing, or another regulated manufacturing environment
- Familiarity with SAP or other plant maintenance management systems
