Responsibilities
- Lead and oversee union maintenance technicians during assigned shifts
- Communicate and coordinate with production teams to manage operational handovers and urgent issues
- Track and manage overtime expenses, paid time off, and accurate time reporting
- Control and optimize spending on spare parts inventory and usage
- Collaborate with the preventive maintenance team to monitor schedules and program effectiveness
- Guide union technicians to minimize equipment downtime and extend asset life
- Determine optimal responses to equipment failures and assign staff based on preventive and corrective priorities
- Enforce and promote safety standards across the work area and facility
- Train staff on TPM and preventive maintenance methods, including root cause analysis techniques
- Provide coaching and arrange skill development to maintain technical proficiency
- Evaluate team performance and take corrective action when standards are not met
- Ensure preventive maintenance tasks are completed and verify work quality
- Record attendance, leave, and perform administrative duties for the maintenance unit
- Standardize and distribute best practices in maintenance across all shifts
- Assist directly in maintenance tasks when operational needs require
- Deliver performance updates and situational reports to management
- Utilize analytical systems like Power BI, PUMA, and SAP PM to improve reliability and cost efficiency
