Allergan Aesthetics, an AbbVie company, is looking for a Maintenance Electrician to join our team in AbbVie Westport on a permanent basis. In this shift-based role, you will work Weekend 12-hour shifts on a bi-weekly rotation between days and nights. You will be responsible for performing planned and unplanned maintenance across aseptic manufacturing, filling, packaging, plastics, and plant support systems.
What You'll Do
- Carry out planned and unplanned maintenance on manufacturing, filling, and packaging equipment using a Reliability-Centered Maintenance (RCM) approach.
- Troubleshoot and perform fault finding on automatic, semi-automatic, and batch manufacturing equipment, optimizing operation through Continuous Improvement and Root Cause Problem Solving (RCPS) techniques.
- Ensure all equipment is repaired to the highest standards.
- Support equipment projects from design to installation.
- Identify opportunities for improvements and efficiencies while ensuring compliance with all site Quality, Environmental, Health and Safety requirements, training, and regulations.
- Assist with ‘On Call’ duties.
- Maintain up-to-date training through eLMS.
- Provide prompt updates to the Maximo system to control the reordering of stock parts.
- Engage with vendors and parts suppliers to source non-stock parts.
- Fill out plant downtime notifications on Maximo for all downtime instances, including time down, corrective action, preventative action, and parts used.
What We're Looking For
- A National Craft Senior Trades Electrical qualification is essential.
- A minimum of 2 years of maintenance and troubleshooting experience in a highly automated pharmaceutical or similar regulated environment.
- Clear understanding and experience maintaining and troubleshooting electrical, mechanical, instrumentation, and automation systems, including PLCs and HMI, pick-and-place robotics, control pneumatics, IPCs and PC-based tools, Vision systems, VSDs and Servo-drives, and SCADA.
- Proficiency with Maximo to manage maintenance requisitions and spare parts control.
- Willingness to work on set shift patterns and travel to equipment vendors as required.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- You are a team player and a good problem solver.
- You are flexible and prepared to undertake other work that may be assigned from time to time, which may be outside your normal duties.
Nice to Have
- Experience working in clean rooms, packaging operations, automated inspection lines, and robotic packing lines.
- An Automation or Mechatronic qualification would be an advantage.
