Royal BAM Group is seeking a Mobile Maintenance Engineer with an electrical bias to join our BAM FM team in Bristol. This full-time, onsite position (Monday to Friday) is central to our commitment to building a sustainable tomorrow, where safety and excellence in service delivery are paramount.
What You'll Do
- Place the health and safety of all involved as the top priority.
- Demonstrate strong leadership, customer relationship management, and project delivery excellence.
- Ensure tasks are completed in a timely manner to meet customer expectations.
- Install, maintain, and repair electrical wiring, systems, and equipment.
- Conduct inspections of electrical systems and wiring, ensuring all meet legal and safety standards.
- Collaborate with other trades to complete electrical installations.
- Complete work correctly the first time and identify failures to prevent recurrence.
- Minimize the environmental impact of your operations.
- Strive for profitable growth.
What We're Looking For
- Completion of an accredited apprenticeship in electrical installation.
- A relevant electrical qualification, such as City & Guilds or NVQ Level 3.
- Approved Electrician certification or equivalent.
- In-depth knowledge of electrical systems, wiring, and troubleshooting.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
- A strong understanding of electrical safety standards.
- Excellent problem-solving and critical-thinking skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- A valid and clean driver’s license.
Nice to Have
- Experience in temporary electrical installations within the construction industry.
- Previous experience with project management or site supervision.
- Familiarity with renewable energy technologies like Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) or solar panel installation.
