Allergan Aesthetics, an AbbVie company, is hiring a Maintenance Electrician for a permanent position at AbbVie Westport. This shift-based role requires working Weekend 12-hour shifts with a bi-weekly rotation between days and nights. You will be responsible for planned and unplanned maintenance across aseptic manufacturing, filling, packaging, plastics, and plant support systems.
What You'll Do
- Carry out planned and unplanned maintenance on manufacturing, filling, and packaging equipment using a Reliability-Centered Maintenance (RCM) approach.
- Troubleshoot and perform fault finding on automatic, semi-automatic, and batch manufacturing equipment, optimizing operation through Continuous Improvement and Root Cause Problem Solving (RCPS) techniques.
- Ensure all equipment is repaired to the highest standards.
- Support equipment projects from design through to installation.
- Identify opportunities for improvements, efficiencies, and compliance with all site Quality, Environmental, Health, and Safety requirements, training, and regulations.
- Assist with ‘On Call’ duties.
- Maintain up-to-date training through the eLMS system.
- Provide prompt updates to the Maximo system to control the reordering of stock parts.
- Engage with vendors and parts suppliers to source non-stock parts.
- Record all instances of plant downtime in Maximo, including time down, corrective action, preventative actions, and parts used.
What We're Looking For
- A National Craft Senior Trades Electrical qualification is essential.
- A minimum of 2 years of maintenance and troubleshooting experience in a highly automated pharmaceutical or similar regulated environment.
- Clear understanding and experience with maintenance and troubleshooting of electrical, mechanical, instrumentation, and automation systems.
- Proficient in using Maximo to manage maintenance requisitions and spare parts control.
- Willingness to work on set shift patterns and travel to equipment vendors as required.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Proven team player and effective problem solver.
- Flexibility to undertake other assigned work outside of normal duties.
Nice to Have
- Experience in clean rooms, packaging operations, automated inspection lines, or robotic packing lines.
- An Automation or Mechatronic qualification.
