We are seeking a macOS Software Engineering Manager in the United States to lead a dynamic engineering team focused on developing and maintaining a sophisticated macOS endpoint agent. This strategic role involves guiding globally distributed engineers through complex system and kernel-level development, while driving significant improvements in agent architecture and performance. The position demands a unique blend of hands-on technical leadership and comprehensive team management. You will be instrumental in responding to emerging technical challenges, ensuring high-quality software releases, and collaborating closely with support, quality assurance, and cross-functional teams to optimize core technological capabilities. Accountabilities: · Provide leadership and mentorship to system and kernel developers, ensuring exceptional technical execution and professional development. · Direct the design and development of the macOS endpoint agent, addressing critical performance, reliability, and security requirements. · Coordinate comprehensive responses to field incidents, including detailed root cause analysis, expedited patch delivery, and strategic issue resolution. · Spearhead architectural enhancements and proactively identify optimization opportunities based on team insights. · Facilitate seamless collaboration across support, QA, and sales teams to guarantee timely issue resolution and superior product releases. · Cultivate a dynamic, innovative, and high-performance engineering culture. Requirements: · 4+ years of software engineering management experience. · 6+ years of systems and kernel development expertise, with profound understanding of operating system fundamentals. · Demonstrated history of delivering core, customer-facing software features. · Superior communication, interpersonal, and leadership capabilities. · Preferential experience in macOS development, high-performance systems, or large-scale event processing systems. · Beneficial familiarity with Objective-C and Swift programming. · Advantageous experience managing customer escalations or cross-functional incident responses.
