As a Licensed Practical Nurse, you will provide essential care during overnight hours at a facility dedicated to crisis support for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, mental health conditions, and substance use concerns. Your responsibilities include conducting nursing assessments, administering medications, and closely observing client behavior to ensure safety and treatment effectiveness.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver direct nursing care and perform clinical evaluations in a 24/7 crisis setting
- Administer medications and maintain accurate records in compliance with healthcare standards
- Monitor and report changes in clients’ physical, emotional, and behavioral status
- Ensure adherence to HIPAA, confidentiality policies, and state regulatory requirements
- Support quality improvement initiatives and maintain compliance with accreditation standards
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to policy updates as needed
- Supervise staff, including training, performance evaluations, and workflow coordination
- Address team concerns, provide guidance, and support a positive care environment
Qualifications
- Current LPN license in the state of practice
- Valid driver’s license and proof of auto insurance
- Preferred: Two years of nursing experience in behavioral health settings
- Familiarity with substance use disorders and evidence-based treatment approaches
- Commitment to ethical, client-centered care practices
Compensation & Benefits
This position includes a competitive hourly wage with shift differentials: +10% for weekday nights, +10% for weekend days, and +15% for weekend nights. Schedule & Work Environment
