NeoGenomics was looking for a Locations

PENTA Building Group is hiring a Help Desk Support Engineer to be the primary IT support contact for our Southern California offices and construction jobsites. In this fully in-person role, you will manage daily support requests, set up new equipment, and provide hands-on troubleshooting and repair.

What You'll Do

  • Manage daily IT support requests for local offices and jobsites.
  • Set up new laptops, desktops, and mobile devices (iOS/Android).
  • Provide device troubleshooting and repair support.
  • Deliver daily IT support and troubleshooting for corporate helpdesk items including software, desktop hardware, network, and project infrastructure.
  • Administer corporate iOS and Android devices (break/fix repair, MDM, etc.).
  • Provide end user software support for Microsoft Office (O365), Viewpoint, Citrix, and other enterprise applications.
  • Learn and help administer new enterprise-level applications as introduced.
  • Update and create IT documentation related to PENTA equipment and systems.
  • Perform physical Cat-5/6 and fiber network and telephony wiring, especially for mobile jobsite trailers.
  • Assist with asset management and deployment of equipment and peripherals.
  • Work with the rest of the IT team on new systems infrastructure projects as needed.

What We're Looking For

  • 3 years minimum of prior technical customer support experience.
  • Ability to travel within Los Angeles and Orange Counties to construction projects as needed.
  • Strong remote collaboration proficiency using tools like Microsoft Teams and Zoom.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills to handle the majority of hands-on issues in the region.
  • Self-reliance and strong initiative to be the local face of PENTA’s IT department.
  • Ability to learn on the fly, deal with ambiguity, manage multiple tasks, and find resolutions under tight deadlines.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills for users and your team.
  • Experience with follow-up and monitoring of work to ensure quality and attention to detail.

Nice to Have

  • Experience preferably in an IT support, help desk, or desktop support environment.
  • An industry-specific professional certification (A+, Security+, etc.) or equivalent college coursework, or working toward one.
  • Eagerness to learn additional IT skills in an open and collaborative IT group.

Benefits & Compensation

  • Salary: $65,000 - $80,000 (Depending on Experience)

Work Mode

This position is fully in-person and based in Pasadena, CA, with travel to local construction projects required.
