About the Role
The specialist will support the adaptation of digital content into Dutch, ensuring linguistic accuracy and alignment with regional standards. This includes reviewing translated user interfaces, documentation, and marketing materials while collaborating with development and content teams.
Responsibilities
- Review and edit Dutch translations of software interfaces and documentation
- Ensure translated content reflects correct grammar, tone, and terminology
- Collaborate with translation teams to resolve linguistic issues
- Maintain consistency across all localized materials
- Verify that localized content complies with regional language standards
- Support quality assurance for multilingual releases
- Identify and report translation errors or inconsistencies
- Work with product teams to understand context for accurate localization
- Update and manage language-specific style guides
- Contribute to the improvement of translation workflows
- Assist in evaluating machine translation outputs
- Provide linguistic feedback during product development cycles
- Ensure cultural appropriateness of translated content
- Track progress of localization tasks and deadlines
- Support the creation of Dutch-specific content assets
- Participate in testing localized versions of software
- Coordinate with project managers on delivery timelines
- Maintain databases of approved terminology
- Assist in training new team members on language-specific guidelines
- Monitor evolving language usage in Dutch-speaking regions
Nice to Have
- Experience with localization platforms such as Smartling or Lokalise
- Knowledge of Dutch in technical or IT contexts
- Previous role in a developer tools or cybersecurity company
- Familiarity with GitHub or version control systems
- Certification in translation or localization
