The Loan Processing Analyst (MLO) plays a key role in guiding residential loan applications through the origination pipeline. Based in Pittsburgh, PA, or Kalamazoo, MI, this hybrid position supports the end-to-end processing of loan transactions, ensuring all documentation is complete, compliant, and submitted on time.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the main point of contact for borrowers, setting clear expectations and providing timely updates throughout the loan lifecycle.
- Review and verify credit, income, and loan documentation to confirm compliance with company and regulatory standards.
- Coordinate with attorneys, insurance providers, vendors, and internal teams to resolve issues and advance applications.
- Manage a portfolio of approximately 55 loans using EMO and EMU systems to track tasks, checklists, and process workflows.
- Address customer inquiries and escalations, applying problem-solving skills to resolve concerns independently.
- Collect required documents, validate loan conditions, and schedule closing appointments efficiently.
- Ensure adherence to policies including the SAFE Act, FDIA Section 19, and Consumer Financial Protection Bureau guidelines.
- Support continuous improvement by identifying process gaps and recommending best practices to the team.
- Meet performance goals related to cycle time, customer satisfaction, and processing accuracy.
Qualifications
Candidates must have strong analytical abilities and experience interpreting complex financial documents. The role requires effective communication with diverse stakeholders and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a structured environment. Proficiency with digital tools and a detail-oriented mindset are essential.
Preferred skills include experience in real estate lending, customer experience, credit assessment, and compliance. Familiarity with PNC’s internal systems and procedures is a plus.

This position operates on a hybrid schedule, with flexibility for remote work in approved locations. Employees must maintain a secure, distraction-free workspace when working remotely. Occasional in-office presence may be required based on operational needs.
Compensation and Benefits
The salary range for this role is $37,440.00 – $70,850.00. Incentive opportunities are available based on individual, business unit, and company performance. Additional offerings include a 401(k) with company match, pension, and stock purchase plans.
