DT Global Asia Pacific is seeking a Literacy Associate Lecturer to join our team in Kiribati. In this role, you will collaborate with EduKAiT local and international staff to deliver high-quality training and support the Ministry of Education, local schools, and teachers. Your focus will be on enhancing language and literacy outcomes through practical workshops and team-based planning.
What You'll Do
- Work directly with teachers and children to develop their language and literacy skills.
- Plan and deliver lively, informative training workshops.
- Collaborate on work planning and contribute actively to team efforts.
- Provide constructive suggestions and support within the team structure.
- Report to the Language and Literacy Coordinator and follow guidance from the EduKAiT Team Leader and Deputy Team Leader.
- Liaise effectively with staff across the Ministry of Education.
What We're Looking For
- At least 5 years of experience in teaching, education, or training.
- Demonstrated knowledge of language and literacy, and familiarity with EduKAiT’s programs within the Ministry of Education.
- A proven willingness and ability to learn new skills.
- Sufficient English proficiency in speaking, listening, reading, and writing to communicate clearly. An ideal candidate will have achieved ISLPR level 4, KELT level 8, or TELPA B2 or equivalent.
- Strong proficiency in written Te Kiribati, including knowledge of sentence structure and grammar.
- Demonstrated leadership experience in a school or other professional setting.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Competency in ICT tools and data collection and analysis skills.
- A clean professional record with no formal complaints recorded with the Ministry of Education or any other government ministry or agency.

Team & Environment
The Language and Literacy Team is supervised and monitored by the EduKAiT Language and Literacy Coordinator with support from an International Support advisor. You will report to the EduKAiT Language and Literacy Coordinator, as well as the EduKAiT Team Leader and Deputy Team Leader.
