About the Role
The role involves maintaining and improving Linux-based server environments within a high-performance web hosting infrastructure. Responsibilities include troubleshooting, automation, system monitoring, and ensuring reliability and security of hosting services.
Responsibilities
- Monitor server performance and system health across hosting environments
- Diagnose and resolve technical issues related to Linux servers and hosting services
- Maintain and optimize cPanel-based hosting platforms
- Perform regular system updates, patches, and security hardening
- Collaborate with engineering teams to improve infrastructure reliability
- Automate routine system administration tasks using scripting languages
- Ensure data integrity and implement backup and recovery procedures
- Respond to system outages and execute incident resolution protocols
- Manage user accounts, permissions, and server access controls
- Configure and maintain DNS, email, and web server software
- Support deployment of new server environments and services
- Analyze system logs to proactively identify potential issues
- Enforce security best practices across all hosted systems
- Optimize server performance and resource utilization
- Document system configurations and operational procedures
- Work with monitoring tools to track system metrics and alerts
- Assist in capacity planning and infrastructure scaling
- Troubleshoot network connectivity and firewall configurations
- Ensure compliance with internal security and operational policies
- Participate in on-call rotations for critical system support
