About the Role

The individual in this role will be responsible for the stability, efficiency, and security of Linux systems, supporting infrastructure needs across departments through proactive maintenance and collaboration.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor system performance and resolve issues promptly
  • Install, configure, and update Linux servers
  • Maintain system security and apply patches regularly
  • Automate routine tasks using scripting tools
  • Collaborate with network and security teams on infrastructure projects
  • Ensure data backups and recovery procedures are functional
  • Support system access controls and user account management
  • Troubleshoot hardware and software problems
  • Maintain documentation for system configurations and processes
  • Respond to system alerts and outages
  • Optimize server performance and resource utilization
  • Implement monitoring tools for system health
  • Assist in disaster recovery planning and testing
  • Enforce compliance with security policies
  • Participate in on-call rotation for critical systems
  • Deploy virtual machines and containerized environments
  • Work with storage solutions and filesystem management
  • Support development teams with staging and production environments
  • Manage configuration management tools
  • Perform system audits and vulnerability assessments
  • Coordinate with vendors for hardware support
  • Ensure uptime and service availability
  • Follow change management procedures
  • Assist in cloud infrastructure integration
  • Maintain system inventory and asset records

Nice to Have
