About the Role

Liferay, Inc. seeks an Entry-level Sales Development Representative (SDR) to begin a career in technology sales. This role is designed for individuals with limited or no prior sales experience and focuses on generating new business opportunities by engaging prospects, qualifying leads, and building a strong sales pipeline for our open-source software solutions.

What You'll Do

  • Proactively identify and engage potential customers through phone, email, and social media outreach.
  • Drive new business through marketing initiatives like events and sponsorships, and via targeted outreach to key accounts.
  • Qualify inbound and outbound leads to assess their fit with our software offerings.
  • Maintain strong performance against monthly quotas by scheduling qualified meetings for the Sales team.
  • Collaborate closely with Sales and Marketing to ensure strategic alignment and a deep understanding of your assigned territory.
  • Partner with sales, fellow SDRs, and marketing to continuously improve process, lead quality, and conversion rates.
  • Drive continuous improvement in your personal processes, pipeline, value proposition, research, messaging, and communication cadences.
  • Develop a strong understanding of Liferay's software products and the SDR technology stack.
  • Undertake other duties as required by the evolving nature of the role.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
  • Ability to work in the core markets of the United States and Canada.
  • Proficiency in both independent and collaborative work.
  • Drive and self-motivation to succeed and win in a dynamic new business environment.
  • Ability to work successfully in a target and results-driven environment.
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining accurate information in a database promptly.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to adapt your approach to different target audience personas.

Nice to Have

  • Experience using platforms like Salesforce, Salesloft, Sales Navigator, or ZoomInfo to research and aggregate information on prospects.

Team & Environment

You will collaborate closely with Sales and Marketing teams, partnering to align strategy and improve overall performance.
