The Environmental Protection Authority is hiring a Lifeguard to make a real difference by ensuring a safe environment for customers at our aquatic facilities in Auckland. You will provide proactive supervision and positive interaction with the community.
What You'll Do
- Provide a safe environment through proactive supervision and positive interaction with customers
- Educate and enforce pool rules
- Respond to any First Aid emergencies
- Ensure our pool and the surrounding areas are always clean
What We're Looking For
- Ability to pass the lifeguard swim test: Swim 200m in under 6 minutes, Swim 25m sidestroke, Swim 50m breaststroke, Retrieve an object from the bottom of the pool, Tread water for 5 minutes
- Hold a Pool Lifeguard Practising Certificate (PLPC) or attend training from 7 April to 17 April at West Wave
- Flexibility, reliability, and a commitment to working early morning, late night, and weekend shifts
- Ability to work 16 hours a week, currently Friday 12:45-9:15pm and Saturday 9:45-6:15pm, with shifts subject to change
