Responsibilities
- Perform general labor tasks efficiently under minimal supervision.
- Gain and maintain understanding of commodities managed at the site, adhering to company and regulatory standards.
- Interact with customers in a respectful and professional manner.
- Prepare railcars and trucks for loading or unloading, including sampling, loosening hardware, opening hatches, and connecting hoses.
- Load and unload agricultural products from railcars and trucks using appropriate machinery, handling both bulk and packaged goods.
- Manage and oversee all aspects of load-out operations.
- Operate automated scale and dump systems effectively.
- Carry out and document routine maintenance, including lubrication of pumps, valves, and loading arms, and inspect equipment for leaks or damage.
- Monitor and ensure the quality of stored inventory, including blended, bulk, or packaged materials.
- Transport products like fertilizer, chemicals, seed, and feed to customer locations.
- Maintain clean, organized, and safe workspaces through regular cleaning tasks such as sweeping, shoveling, power washing, and spill cleanup.
- Perform grounds upkeep, including snow removal.
- Complete warehouse duties such as operating loaders and forklifts, moving inventory, and general equipment maintenance.
- Report customer concerns, maintenance issues, or safety hazards to a supervisor promptly.
- Support a strong safety culture by following all safety protocols and reporting or addressing unsafe conditions.
- Comply with all company policies, procedures, and safety regulations.
- Complete additional tasks as assigned to support smooth facility operations and high-quality customer service.
