About the Role
The Lifecycle Specialist will manage key people processes related to employee relations and employment transitions across Canada. This includes ensuring compliance, supporting investigations, and delivering consistent, fair practices throughout the employee journey.
Responsibilities
- Manage employee relations cases with fairness and confidentiality
- Support investigations into workplace concerns
- Administer employee transition processes including leaves and accommodations
- Ensure compliance with Canadian labor laws and company policies
- Maintain accurate employee records and documentation
- Partner with HRBPs and legal advisors on complex cases
- Provide guidance on employment standards and regulations
- Support organizational changes such as restructuring or role changes
- Coordinate with payroll and benefits teams during transitions
- Develop and maintain standard operating procedures
- Identify trends in employee relations data
- Recommend improvements to lifecycle processes
- Ensure consistent application of policies across regions
- Support onboarding and offboarding for special cases
- Respond to employee inquiries with empathy and accuracy
- Escalate critical issues following defined protocols
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of employment legislation
- Assist in audits and compliance reporting
- Promote a culture of fairness and inclusion
- Collaborate with global teams to align practices

What You’ll Do
- Handle employee relations cases from intake to resolution
- Guide managers and employees through performance and conduct processes
- Support employees on leaves of absence and return-to-work plans
- Ensure compliance with statutory requirements across jurisdictions
- Maintain case files and documentation in line with policies
What We’re Looking For
- Demonstrated experience in HR operations or employee relations
- Strong judgment when dealing with sensitive situations
- Ability to balance empathy with policy adherence
- Experience working in a decentralized or remote team
- Track record of improving HR processes
