HireHawk is hiring a Lien Negotiation Specialist to play a crucial role in our personal injury practice. In this remote role, you will manage and resolve complex medical and other liens to optimize client recoveries, working collaboratively from within the Asia region.
What You'll Do
- Review and analyze medical records, billing statements, and insurance documentation to identify lien claims.
- Communicate and negotiate with medical providers, insurance companies, and lienholders including Medicare, Medicaid, ERISA, and private insurers.
- Prepare lien summaries and net settlement breakdowns for attorney review.
- Maintain organized, up-to-date records of all lien communications and reductions.
- Collaborate with attorneys and case managers to ensure all liens are accurately resolved before disbursement.
- Follow up on outstanding lien resolution issues to ensure timely case closure.
- Ensure compliance with state and federal lien resolution laws and protocols.
What We're Looking For
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a paralegal, with specific expertise in lien negotiation.
- Strong knowledge of medical liens, subrogation rights, and reimbursement obligations.
- Familiarity with personal injury law and settlement processes.
- Exceptional communication and negotiation skills.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and documentation abilities.
- Comfortable working independently in a fast-paced remote environment.
- Tech-savvy – experience with legal case management software preferred.
Nice to Have
- Prior work with ERISA, Medicare/Medicaid, or military liens.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.
