About the Role
This position involves diagnosing and troubleshooting end-user hardware and software problems, managing IT service tickets, and ensuring reliable technology operations across departments.
Responsibilities
- Respond to technical support requests from staff members
- Diagnose and resolve computer hardware and software malfunctions
- Manage incoming helpdesk tickets and prioritize based on urgency
- Install, configure, and update workstations and laptops
- Support email, network, and peripheral device connectivity
- Maintain accurate records of technical issues and resolutions
- Escalate complex problems to senior technicians when needed
- Assist with onboarding new employees and setting up equipment
- Perform routine system updates and security patches
- Monitor network performance and report anomalies
- Support remote access tools and virtual private network connections
- Troubleshoot printing and scanning issues across departments
- Document technical procedures and update internal knowledge base
- Coordinate with vendors for warranty and repair services
- Assist in maintaining inventory of IT assets and licenses
- Enforce company security policies on endpoint devices
- Provide training or guidance on standard software tools
- Assist with data backups and recovery operations
- Support video conferencing and meeting room technology
- Work with IT projects on infrastructure improvements
Nice to Have
- CompTIA A+ certification or equivalent credential
- Experience with PowerShell or command-line scripting
- Familiarity with mobile device management (MDM) platforms
- Background in supporting audiovisual meeting systems
- Experience in a corporate or enterprise IT environment
- Knowledge of backup and disaster recovery tools
- Exposure to ITIL frameworks or processes
- Certifications in Microsoft or Apple technologies
