Barclays is seeking a Legal Relationship Team Analyst to act as a key liaison between onboarding teams and internal stakeholders. You will facilitate high-volume transactional documentation processes, ensuring accuracy and compliance while supporting new client onboardings and existing client relationships.
What You'll Do
- Ensure Transaction Services and Documentation activities are conducted in compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
- Help the bank manage legal and reputational risks associated with transactional activities.
- Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders, including legal counsel and credit risk management, to ensure timely and efficient transaction execution.
- Create, review, negotiate, and manage legal documents such as loan agreements and security documents.
- Provide transaction support, including preparing transaction summaries and conducting due diligence.
- Develop and implement transaction processes and procedures to ensure consistent execution.
- Pro-actively identify, communicate, and provide legal advice on applicable laws, rules, and regulations.
- Keep up to date with changes to laws, rules, and regulations and ensure they are reflected in relevant policies, standards, and controls.
- Perform prescribed activities in a timely manner and to a high standard, driving continuous improvement.
- Lead and supervise a team, guiding professional development, allocating work, and coordinating resources.
- Take responsibility for end results of a team’s operational processing and activities.
- Escalate breaches of policies/procedure appropriately.
- Take responsibility for embedding new policies/procedures adopted due to risk mitigation.
- Advise and influence decision making within own area of expertise.
- Take ownership for managing risk and strengthening controls in relation to the work you own or contribute to.
- Maintain and continually build an understanding of how own sub-function integrates with the function and organization.
- Make evaluative judgements based on the analysis of factual information, paying attention to detail.
- Resolve problems by identifying and selecting solutions through application of acquired technical experience.
- Guide and persuade team members and communicate complex/sensitive information.
- Act as contact point for stakeholders outside of the immediate function.
- Help identify process improvements and support initiatives to ensure documentation aligns with regulatory requirements and internal policies.
What We're Looking For
- Higher education or equivalent professional experience in finance, legal operations, financial services, or a related discipline.
- Ability to manage high-volume documentation and onboarding workflows with strong attention to detail.
- Experience working with financial systems or the ability to quickly learn and interpret new platforms.
- In-depth technical knowledge and experience in assigned area of expertise.
- Thorough understanding of the underlying principles and concepts within the area of expertise.
