Dentons US LLP is seeking a Legal Intern for its Real Estate practice group in New York City. This position provides hands-on, practical experience by working closely with lawyers and paraprofessionals on client matters. Interns will gain direct exposure to the daily operations of a fast-paced legal environment.
What You'll Do
- Assist with the preparation and proofing of basic transactional documents, including creating signature pages and PDFs.
- Facilitate coordination of entity and property due diligence.
- Prepare synopses of parties and descriptions of funding for real estate transactions.
- Follow up on recorded documents and title policies with title companies and ACRIS.
- Prepare closing indexes and binders, ensuring post-closing obligations are met.
- Establish and maintain electronic client files using the firm’s document management system.
- Review and analyze various legal agreements and contracts, preparing abstracts as requested.
- Perform research on factual issues and assist in preparing legal analysis.
- Monitor and report on key industry developments.
