Novo Nordisk is hiring a Legal Counsel Intern (alternance) for a 12-month internship fully integrated into our Legal & Compliance department. You will contribute directly to legal and compliance work supporting company growth, immersed in practical pharmaceutical law issues with exposure to daily cases and decisions.
What You'll Do
- Support in contract and commercial law: review, analyze, and draft contracts like service agreements and partnership deals; support on Loi Encadrement des Avantages (LEA) matters; contribute to contract negotiation and template standardization.
- Support operational Legal & Compliance activities: handle internal department requests; manage Compliance tools and processes including monitoring and data-room preparation; follow regulated activities such as events and third-party relations.
- Support GDPR and Artificial Intelligence initiatives: conduct first-level legal analyses on personal data protection and the AI Act; review GDPR contractual clauses; participate in updating registers and procedures.
- Support cross-functional projects: participate in long-term projects, including leveraging AI to facilitate internal procedures, and in initiatives with various departments.
- Contribute to continuous improvement: help update procedures, FAQs, and internal support materials; raise awareness of best practices.
What We're Looking For
- Master 2 in law, specializing in business law, contract law, health law, digital law, or compliance.
- Marked interest for contract law, commercial law, and compliance.
- Sensitivity to the health and pharmaceutical sector environment.
- Rigor, organizational skills, analytical mind, and adaptability to varied challenges.
- Good interpersonal skills, ability to work with varied stakeholders, and excellent team spirit.
- Mastery of French and a good professional level of English (written and spoken).
Team & Environment
You will join a team of 3 lawyers and 1 compliance manager as part of the Legal & Compliance department of the French subsidiary within Finance, Legal & Global Solutions. You will report to the Legal & Compliance Director.
