Responsibilities
- Contribute as a core member of a compact and agile legal team.
- Advance customer acquisition by finalizing new government contracts and expanding current ones.
- Apply in-depth knowledge of federal procurement regulations to support business development, proposal, and engineering teams in securing contracts and creating future opportunities.
- Support the creation of strategic plans for acquiring new business.
- Maintain productive relationships with procurement officials at federal agencies.
- Build and sustain trusted professional connections with government contracting and procurement departments.
- Deliver legal guidance and manage daily operations throughout the full acquisitions lifecycle.
- Review and assess major contract proposals.
- Track and supervise large-scale contracts.
- Take the lead or provide support in critical negotiations.
- Address and resolve contract performance challenges.
- Recognize potential risks and recommend mitigation strategies.
- Ensure adherence to applicable laws, regulations, and internal policies.
- Handle a broad range of legal issues including licensing, service agreements, bid protests, litigation, intellectual property, compliance, and employment matters.
- Serve as the legal representative when coordinating with external counsel, vendors, engineers, executives, clients, and regulatory bodies.
