Practicebetter is hiring a Leasing Consultant to drive occupancy and provide a positive experience for prospective residents of military housing communities. In this remote role, you will manage the full leasing lifecycle—from initial contact to lease generation—through virtual communication from your home office.

What You'll Do

• Administer leasing programs to achieve organizational occupancy goals.
• Maintain thorough knowledge of lease terms, community policies, available inventory, and competitor communities.
• Answer inbound prospect calls promptly and professionally from a home-based call center.
• Engage and advance each prospect to schedule a tour and find a suitable home within the portfolio.
• Convey the benefits of residing in the community to generate signed leases.
• Guide prospective residents through the leasing process via virtual communication.
• Process applications, prepare lease agreements, and collect rent payments, security deposits, and fees.
• Audit and manage applicant waitlists and home assignments daily.
• Resolve prospective resident concerns and issues effectively.
• Adhere to standard operating procedures, performance metrics, and fair housing regulations.
• Build collaborative relationships with on-site team members and prospective residents.
• Leverage leasing software and CRM to streamline communications and ensure data integrity.
• Verify completion of all leasing application phases, including coordinating background and credit checks.
• Track progress through all phases from initial contact to closing.
• Ensure a smooth transition from lease signing to move-in inspection with the on-site Community Leasing Associate.

What We're Looking For

• 2+ years of experience in sales, marketing, leasing, hospitality, or customer service.
• Active listening skills to identify prospective renters' needs.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills via phone, email, and text.
• Ability to take personal responsibility for work quality and timeliness with little oversight.
• Must be independent, self-motivated, productive, and possess a positive attitude.
• Detail and process oriented to adhere to program guidelines and standard operating procedures.
• Exceptional interpersonal skills to engage prospective residents from diverse backgrounds.
• Ability to adapt to changing situations and customer needs.
• Proactive approach to problem-solving with strong decision-making capability.
• Ability to work remotely and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Customer-focused with empathy for the customer experience.
• Computer proficiency, including word processing, spreadsheet, and database software.
• Proficiency utilizing customer relationship management (CRM) tools.
• Must live within a reasonable driving distance to Ft. Rucker, AL; Ft. Riley, KS; Ft. Polk, LA; Ft. Meade, MD; Aberdeen Proving Grounds (APG), MD; Ft. Bragg, NC; or Ft. Sill, OK.

Work Mode

This is a fully remote position. Candidates must reside within a reasonable driving distance of specific military bases in Alabama, Kansas, Louisiana, Maryland, North Carolina, or Oklahoma.
