About the Role

Cardinal Group is looking for a Leasing Community Intern to join our team. In this role, you will be a key ambassador for customer service, dedicated to our residents and focused on achieving 100% occupancy through retention and leasing efforts. You must have a high school diploma and be actively enrolled in an accredited college program.

What You'll Do

  • Be an ambassador for customer service by consistently going above and beyond to ensure resident satisfaction.
  • Perform administrative front desk tasks and answer incoming leasing calls.
  • Participate in Cardinal Way of Leasing training and apply its principles to greet prospects, present the community, and close sales.
  • Complete all lease applications and paperwork, maintaining accurate lease file documentation.
  • Pass third-party leasing shops to become Cardinal Way of Leasing certified.
  • Maintain the cleanliness of the tour path and demonstrate a positive, professional attitude.
  • Participate in and assist with planning community events.
  • Assist with various additional community projects as assigned.
  • Participate in Cardinal U training as required.
  • Perform 'On-call' responsibilities, including lock-outs and nightly rounds.
  • Work evenings and weekends as needed.

What We're Looking For

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Must be enrolled in a degree program at an accredited college or university, with a minimum of 6 credit hours.
  • Must have completed a minimum of one year at the enrolled accredited college or university.
  • Must maintain a minimum 2.5 cumulative grade point average.
  • Must be a current or future leaseholder of the community.
  • Must live on the designated community floor, per community guidelines, as assigned.
  • Able to lift up to 40 lbs.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license.
  • Available to be scheduled for work approximately 20 hours per week, including evenings and weekends.
  • Ability to embody the Cardinal Culture and Core Values every day.

Nice to Have

  • Experience as an Assistant, Administrative Assistant, or Receptionist.
  • Experience as a Leasing Consultant or Real Estate Assistant.
  • Background in Leasing.

Team & Environment

This role reports directly to the Community Manager.

Work Mode

This is an onsite position.
