What You'll Do
Manage incoming leasing inquiries and assist applicants through the rental process, including scheduling viewings and guiding documentation. Prepare, update, and maintain lease agreements and renewal terms in compliance with standard practices. Monitor rent payments, track delinquencies, and communicate with tenants to resolve outstanding balances promptly.
Oversee maintenance requests from initiation to resolution, coordinating with vendors and ensuring timely follow-up. Conduct move-in and move-out inspections, manage deposit handling, and document property conditions accurately. Maintain accurate tenant records, lease files, and property data within digital management systems to ensure data integrity.
Act as a primary point of contact for tenants, addressing concerns and resolving issues efficiently to support long-term satisfaction. Provide regular updates to property owners on occupancy status, maintenance progress, and tenant-related matters.
Requirements
- At least one year of experience in leasing or property management within the US residential sector
- Proven background in rent collection, tenant communication, lease administration, and maintenance coordination
- Familiarity with US rental regulations, lease documentation, and tenant lifecycle management
- Experience with property management software such as AppFolio, Buildium, Yardi, or comparable platforms
- Established experience working remotely in a structured environment
- Proficiency with digital collaboration tools including Google Workspace, Slack, Zoom, and project trackers like Asana or Trello
- Prior work with US-based property operations preferred
Preferred Qualifications
- Background in managing multi-family or single-family rental portfolios
- Understanding of fair housing laws and tenant rights in the US
- Experience listing properties on digital platforms such as Zillow or Apartments.com
- Spanish language skills are a plus
