Role Overview
As the Learning Management System Administrator, you will lead the administration and optimization of the SuccessFactors LMS platform for a forward-thinking American brand entering the electric vehicle space. Reporting to the Director of Learning & Development, you'll ensure the system is fully configured, secure, and aligned with enterprise goals across Commercial, Corporate, and Production divisions.
Key Responsibilities
- Configure and maintain global LMS settings, including branding, SSO, authentication, and integrations to support long-term scalability.
- Manage enterprise-wide user roles, permissions, and organizational structures to ensure appropriate access and compliance.
- Develop and run custom reports, dashboards, and audits to track learning metrics, completion rates, and compliance outcomes.
- Oversee vendor relationships, coordinate platform upgrades, and ensure system uptime and performance meet business needs.
- Diagnose and resolve system issues, including access problems, password resets, and data errors, providing timely support to users and managers.
- Design and deliver training sessions for business unit stakeholders to improve LMS adoption and proficiency.
- Support integration of third-party content and emerging technologies, including AI, VR/AR, and API-driven tools, ensuring compatibility and security.
- Collaborate with HR and hiring managers to align learning programs with workforce development and business objectives.
- Establish best practices for data integrity, system monitoring, and user experience across all learning environments.
- Lead cross-functional collaboration with learning teams to build career pathways and scalable learning operations.
- Present regular updates on system health, training progress, and learning analytics to leadership stakeholders.
- Ensure all learning activities—internal, external, and third-party—are accurately recorded, tracked, and auditable within the LMS.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of hands-on SuccessFactors LMS administration, including system configuration, user management, and data security.
- Proven experience troubleshooting LMS issues and coordinating with IT or SAP support when necessary.
- Strong background in SCORM/AICC content deployment and cross-browser compatibility testing.
- Ability to create and distribute reports and dashboards that inform compliance and learning strategy.
- Experience setting up workflows for assignments, certifications, notifications, and learning pathways.
- Skill in delivering user support with a service-oriented mindset, including training materials and on-the-spot guidance.
- Organized approach to managing data imports, compliance deadlines, and training records.
- Track record of collaborating with HR, IT, and business units to ensure seamless learning operations.
- Ability to identify process improvements and implement best practices to enhance system efficiency and user experience.
Technology Environment
SuccessFactors LMS, SCORM, AICC, Single Sign-On (SSO), API integrations, AI, virtual and augmented reality (VR/AR), learning analytics platforms, and data compliance tools.
Work Environment
This is an onsite role based in Charlotte, NC, requiring four days per week in office. Regular in-person collaboration, team meetings, and occasional travel are expected. The environment values curiosity, adaptability, and innovation within a rapidly evolving industry.
Compensation & Benefits
Annual salary ranges from $90,000 to $112,500, with eligibility for an annual performance bonus. Equity details are not disclosed. Benefits include comprehensive medical, dental, and vision coverage; 401(k) with employer match and immediate vesting; 20 days of planned PTO; 40 hours of unplanned PTO; 14 company or floating holidays; and up to 16 weeks of paid parental leave. Additional paid leave is available for bereavement, jury duty, voting, and military service.
