Abbott Laboratories is hiring a Leadless Clinical Specialist to join our Cardiac Rhythm Management Leadless division. This field-based position provides the technical, clinical, educational, and sales support necessary to ensure the adoption and growth of Abbott's leadless pacing technology across the Charlotte, NC; Raleigh, NC; Columbia, SC; and Richmond, VA region. You will work closely with physicians, hospital staff, and internal teams to drive therapy adoption and procedural success.
What You'll Do
- Educate physicians, nurses, and other healthcare providers on patient selection criteria and indications for leadless pacing.
- Provide on-site procedural support following instructions for use and best practices to ensure consistent and optimal clinical outcomes.
- Assist in the education and training of other Abbott personnel.
- Stay current with clinical data for leadless CRM products and communicate relevant findings.
- Coordinate and implement programs and resources to facilitate market expansion and therapy access.
- Provide market intelligence to help refine training programs and expansion plans.
- Act as a liaison with marketing to provide feedback on technology improvements and next-generation products.
- Complete required administrative reporting.
- Exercise judgment in planning, organizing, and monitoring work performance.
- Use sound business practices to ensure success and cost-effectiveness.
- Ensure compliance with all Abbott policies and procedures.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant technical field (e.g., engineering) or equivalent related experience.
- 7+ years of clinical medical device experience, ideally with Cardiac Rhythm Management (CRM) products.
- Comprehensive ability to analyze and evaluate technologically complex devices.
- Strong collaboration skills and ability to work effectively with diverse teams.
- A high comfort level navigating hospital environments, including cath labs.
- Proven success in confidently leading and influencing customers, with the ability to provide guidance to course-correct as needed.
- Ability to prepare and deliver effective written and verbal presentations.
- Thorough familiarity with medical device industry policies, operations, and procedures.
- Expert verbal and written communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
- Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office programs.
- This role requires considerable travel, approximately 50-75% of the time.
Nice to Have
- Previous cardiac leadless device training or education certification.
- Previous sales experience and/or demonstrated business acumen.
