Position Overview
This is a six-month developmental role designed to equip team members with the skills needed for future leadership in retail operations. Under the mentorship of experienced leaders, participants will gain hands-on experience in store management, operational efficiency, and team supervision, with the goal of advancing to an Assistant Store Leader or Store Leader role upon successful completion.
Key Responsibilities
- Model company values through daily interactions with guests and coworkers
- Complete all required training modules and meet milestones within the program timeline
- Attend scheduled training sessions, meetings, and cross-store visits as directed
- Support store operations including opening and closing procedures, cash handling, and shipment receiving
- Assist in maintaining visual standards, inventory accuracy, and product replenishment
- Develop supervisory abilities in scheduling, delegation, coaching, and performance feedback
- Identify ways to improve sales, customer experience, and operational efficiency
- Participate in company initiatives such as store resets, remodels, and special events
- Maintain regular communication with leadership and HR regarding progress and store needs
- Ensure a clean, organized, and safe environment for team members and guests
- Make informed decisions and know when to escalate issues to management
- Take on additional duties as assigned by program or district leadership
Qualifications
- Minimum age of 21 years
- At least six months of retail leadership experience, or a combination of two years in business-related education and relevant work history
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Consistent, reliable attendance is required
- Must be able to stand and move throughout the store for extended periods (up to 8+ hours)
- Frequent bending, lifting, and twisting to handle merchandise
- Regularly lift or transport items up to 40 pounds
- Occasional overhead lifting and use of step stools or ladders
- Constant movement between sales floor, stockroom, and exterior areas
- Visual inspection of labels, displays, and safety conditions is a regular part of the role
- Ability to respond to visual cues from guests and the environment

Work Environment
