Responsibilities
- Lead the architecture, rollout, and ongoing support of edge computing systems, covering servers, networking, and supporting infrastructure components.
- Maintain system reliability, speed, and security through proactive hardening and performance tuning.
- Provide technical leadership, coaching, and direction to engineering teams.
- Develop and oversee automated solutions for deploying, monitoring, and maintaining systems.
- Define and uphold standards in systems engineering, system observability, and handling of operational incidents.
- Work closely with product, research and development, networking, security, and customer support teams.
- Advance tools and methods for configuration control, automation, monitoring, and autonomous operational workflows.
- Take part in on-call schedules and assist in resolving critical system incidents.
- Assess new technologies and propose practical upgrades to infrastructure and workflows.
