Salesforce is hiring a Lead Solution Engineer in the Philippines to support our Tableau platform. In this role, you will be the key technical expert for enterprise deals, focusing on business intelligence, complex data sources, and ETL processes.
What You'll Do
- Work directly with prospect data to deliver compelling product demonstrations.
- Provide strategic presales support including needs analysis, data review, and general sales activities.
- Drive all aspects of successful Proof of Concepts from requirements gathering to training and final delivery.
- Communicate with prospects via phone, email, and in-person meetings to guide them through the evaluation process.
- Support partners through joint meetings, technical proofs, seminars, and product education.
- Communicate daily with the sales team regarding activities and strategies.
- Educate and train the sales force on Tableau and ETL product features.
- Provide proactive support to customers and prospects.
- Act as the customer advocate and liaison for product management and development teams.
- Support all strategic deals involving complex data and data sources.
- Provide ETL support and expertise on strategic proof of concepts.
- Back up the technical support staff as needed.
- Research emerging technologies, tools, and methodologies applicable to our work.
- Participate in data acquisition and transformation delivery, providing oversight to enforce standards and quality of BI solutions.
What We're Looking For
- 5 or more years of experience in a Sales Engineer or Sales Consulting role.
- Hands-on experience with SQL or MDX (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle, SQL Server, Analysis Services, Essbase, Netezza).
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Excellent problem-solving skills.
- Technically savvy with the ability to learn new technology quickly.
- Detail-oriented approach to work.
- A collaborative team player.
Nice to Have
- Experience with ETL tools such as Informatica, Data Integrator, or Data Transformation Services.
